A woman has been arrested after police said she was drinking water from a McDonalds water fountain.
The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is accused of using the water at around 2:15pm on Wednesday at the McDonalds in Goulburn.
Police were called to the McDonald’s in Goulsbo after a customer reported that a woman had been drinking water near the McDonald restaurant.
Police said the woman, aged in her 40s, was “in a distressed state” and admitted she had been in the fountain.
She was arrested on charges of contravening the public health act and breaching conditions of detention.
Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
